디렉토리 구조

Red Hat 엔터프라이즈 리눅스는 설치 CD-ROM과 소스 코드 CD-ROM을 포함한 7장의 CD-ROM으로 이루어져 있습니다.

거의 모든 시스템 상에서 첫번째 설치 CD-ROM을 사용하여 설치 프로그램을 직접 부팅할 수 있습니다. 첫번째 CD는 다음과 같은 디렉토리 구조로 구성되어 있습니다 (/mnt/cdrom은 CD-ROM의 마운트 지점입니다):

나머지 설치 CD-ROM의 구조도 첫번째 CD-ROM과 유사합니다. 단지 RedHat 하부 디렉토리가 존재한다는 차이점이 있습니다.

모든 소스 코드 CD-ROM의 디렉토리 배치는 다음과 같습니다:


/mnt/cdrom

만일 NFS, FTP 혹은 HTTP 설치에 사용될 설치 트리를 설정하신다면 모든 설치 CD-ROM에서 RELEASE-NOTES 파일과 RedHat 디렉토리에 들어있는 모든 파일을 복사하셔야 합니다. 리눅스나 유닉스 시스템에서는 다음과 같은 과정을 따르시면 서버에 /target/directory를 적절히 설정하실 수 있습니다. (각 디스크에서 다음 과정을 반복해 주십시오):

CD-ROM을 넣습니다
mount /mnt/cdrom
cp -a /mnt/cdrom/RedHat /target/directory
cp /mnt/cdrom/RELEASE-NOTES* /target/directory (첫번째 설치 CD만)
umount /mnt/cdrom

설치하기

대부분의 최신 컴퓨터들은 자동으로 CD-ROM을 부팅할 것입니다. CD-ROM 부팅 가능한 컴퓨터를 가지고 계시다면 (그리고 그 컴퓨터가 CD-ROM에서 부팅하도록 적절히 설정되어 있다면), 부팅 디스켓을 사용하지 않고 Red Hat 엔터프라이즈 리눅스 CD-ROM 1을 바로 부팅하십시오. 부팅 후, Red Hat 엔터프라이즈 리눅스 설치 프로그램이 시작될 것이며, 여러분은 그 CD-ROM을 통해 시스템을 설치하실 수 있습니다.

images/ 디렉토리에는 boot.iso 파일이 있습니다. 이 파일은 ISO 이미지로서Red Hat 엔터프라이즈 리눅스 설치 프로그램을 부팅하는데 사용됩니다. 이 파일을 사용하여여러 장의 디스켓을 사용할 필요없이 손쉽게 네트워크 기반 설치를 시작할 수 있습니다.boot.iso를 사용하려면 CD-ROM 드라이브 부팅이 가능한 컴퓨터가 필요하며, CD-ROM 드라이브를 부팅하도록 BIOS를 설정하셔야 합니다.그 후 boot.iso를 R/RW CD-ROM에 구우십시오.

EXPORT CONTROL
